Nusa Dua Beach In Bali

For a great deal on your holiday to Nusa Dua beach in Bali try a Bali Nusa Dua holiday package!

South of Denpasar about 40kms away is Nusa Dua, Bali's provincial capital. It's quite easy to reach this location if you're coming from the Kuta area, which will take you only 20 to 30 minutes. You could easily reach this place from Jimbaran if you take the Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, which changes to Jalan Bypass Nusa Dua as you approach the place.

If you take a car from the airport you could reach Nusa Dua in 20 to 30 minutes and pre-paid taxis could cost around Rp95,000 to Rp110,000. Most hotels have transportation arrangements to take guests from the airport so if you're staying in a resort or hotel in the island you'll be provided with car transportation.

There are many points of interest in this area and here are some of the places that you should visit.

Pantai Geger or Geger Beach

This is Nusa Dua's public beach and one of the last beach areas that still retains the image and character of Bali and Nusa Dua, unlike most of the beach fronts covered by the numerous resorts. This beach is safe to swim in and there are numerous restaurants, lounge beds and local masseuse that are part of the local attractions. Those establishments and the local massage therapists all work for the local cooperative so if you make use of the restaurants or hire one of the masseuse then you'll be helping the locals thrive. Geger gets cool winds from time to time due to its location where it faces east. Also, the reef located far from the beach, which has the warmest water temperature in the island, contributes to the cool breeze. If you wish to go here just take a westward direction from the Nusa Dua enclave and pass through the golf course and St. Regis Hotel, which will be on your left side. After passing St. Regis there will be a turn on the left, take that turn and head for the beach. You can find a parking lot there and beyond the parking lot is Pantai Geger.

Pasifika Museum

This museum isn't very popular with tourists but it really is a wonderful museum and anyone who wants to know more about Balinese art and other Southeast Asian art and South Pacific art should come here. There are many art pieces here done by European artists who chose to stay in this magical island and seeing them should be a must. The Indochinese exhibition is quite impressive, as well as the Polynesian artifacts. There are also art pieces here by Gauguin, Le Mayeur, Arie Smith, Theo Meier, Isaac Israel, Hendrik Paulides, Emilio Ambron, Rudolf Bonnet and other artists as well.

Serangan Island or Turtle Island

You could reach Turtle Island, or referred to locally as Serangan Island, by boat from Nusa Dua or Tanjun Benoa. Serangan Island is a turtle-conservation island and here you can see the locals try to preserve turtles by safeguarding turtle eggs inside traditional conservation homes. When the eggs hatch the locals release the turtles to the sea.

Spa Treatments

Of course, a vacation in Bali wouldn't be complete without a visit to the local spas. There are lots of those here and the following spas are some of the most popular facilities in Nusa Dua: Tamara Spa Bali, Alam Alang Bali Spa and Spa Sekar Jagat.
